In The Wind Ministries is made up of a group of men and women
from all walks of life and several different denominations. Each person who wears the ITWM patch must be "born
again" and live a daily life in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We should live our lives
in such a way that we reflect the love of Jesus Christ for all men (John 3:16).
ITWM has adopted the Bible as our by-laws, guidelines and rules for conduct. We allow
the written (living) word to governor our lives through the daily leadership of the Holy Spirit. Each patch holder has committed his/her
life to reaching others with the Gospel message of God's great love for us (Bikers).
ITWM prefers to use the term "Fellowship Groups" instead of "Chapters"
because we make no claim on physical territory or location. We believe/feel that God has called us to the Highways and
the byways to compel all to come to HIM (Matthew 22:9).
ITWM
doesn't appoint or elect men to positions of leadership or "rank and file" on the local level. Because we are
a church based group we like to leave the option to the local pastor to appoint the fellowship group leader.
If you feel like you would like to be a part of ITWM and wear a "Patch"
these requirements have been set in place.
#1. You
must be "Born Again". Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies (bears witness,
confirms) with our spirit that we are God's children. We must have a personal relationship with the Father through
the Son.
#2. You must live a daily life which reflects that you
are a "New Creation". (1 Corinthians 5:17). Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things
have passed away; behold all things become new.
#3. Must be part of a local church body. Our vision for ministry is not only to reach
those in the motorcycle community with the Gospel message, but also to get them plugged into a local community of "believers"
who will accept, love, and stand with them on their journey of life. Because this is our vision we require every "patch
holder" to secure a pastor recommendation before he/she can become eligible to wear a ITWM patch.
#4. Every applicant must complete ITWM training course. This four part training is
mandatory so that we all understand what we have been called to do for the kingdom.
Class 1. Salvation - Being "Born Again" what it means
Class 2. Evangelism - how we approach reaching others.
Class
3. Biker Code of Ethics - How to show respect, Knowing your role, written and un-written laws.
Class 4. The Church where do I fit in?
